My background is in tech and startups. I am Spanish and studied Electronics Engineering at university in Spain. In 2010, after the company I was working for went into administration and I was made redundant, I decided to move to England, on my own, leaving all my family in Spain. This wasn't an easy move, but it was definitely worth it. In my over 15 years career in tech, I have worked for some of the biggest tech companies around the world, contributing, and later on, managing multimillion projects. The journey as a female engineer in a men dominated field wasn't easy, but I climbed the ladder to a senior position. In 2016, after having my first baby, my priorities changed and I decided to start my own business Capikooa (capikooa.com) together with my cofounder, who is also my life partner of 12 years. Running a business is a very steep learning curve that never seem to end. I have navigated through the highs and lows, made mistakes, learnt, done amazing things and still going strong. I am a certified mentor and coach and I am looking forward to connect with other inspiring women.
