Dominique McMullan is the Editorial Director of IMAGE Media. Dominique started out in IADT with a degree in Visual Communications, where she realized her passion for writing and the larger narrative arc surrounding women’s stories. After travelling, Dominique went to Edinburgh to achieve a master’s in advertising, where she was headhunted by the Leith Agency, one of the UK’s premier creative agencies. After a year and a half of exciting ventures, she returned to Ireland, resolute to make a start in Irish media. Dominique’s determined and ballsy approach quickly got her in front of Orna Mulcahy, the Editor of the Irish Times Magazine at the time, whom she pitched a revamp plan of the online edition of the magazine. Dominique was part of a small team that developed the presence of the Irish Times Magazine online, reformatting content for online experiences and allowing Irish Times content to reach new audiences. After five years, Dominique knew her passion lay with female communications and accepted the position of Digital Editor at IMAGE. Having last year given birth to a beautiful baby boy, Kai, Dominique returned from maternity leave to a promotion to the position of Editorial Director of IMAGE Media. She is now leading team IMAGE and has joined Mentor Her as a Mentor for our inaugural programme in August.
