Aoife is the Founder of Happier at Work. She worked in market research in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry for over 17 years. She was always very ambitious to succeed at work, and grew frustrated when she felt she didn’t really ‘fit in’ in the environment she was in, and left several organisations because of this. It prompted her to think about how as an individual she could have made a better career decision, but also what organisations can do to hold on to their employees due to the cost to businesses of losing great staff. In 2018, Aoife left her corporate career, completed a Certificate in Career Coaching, a Diploma in Executive and Life Coaching, and started a 2 year part-time MSc in Organisational Behaviour. While doing the Masters, her passion for all things research, data and analytics was reignited. Aoife set up her business in 2019, focusing on the areas of imposter syndrome, organisational culture and happiness at work. She works with medium-sized businesses using evidence-based approaches to improve performance and retention - ultimately saving them money. She started the Happier at Work podcast in August 2019 targeting HR and business leaders, covering four pillars of leadership equity, engagement and belonging, performance and productivity, and the future of work. The podcast now has nearly 90 episodes, has achieved over 35k listens, with a global audience from more than 50 countries.
