Aoife is a Co-Founder of SIAR Photography. SIAR meaning “West” or Westward” in Irish, is a range of contemporary photographic prints of Ireland founded in 2019 by husband and wife team, Gary and Aoife. SIAR Photography arises from looking at the Irish landscape and culture in a unique way, with a local perspective, portraying the environment, Irish culture and heritage along with landscape photographic shots. SIAR Photography offers over 100 original photographs by Gary, with each print printed, packaged and sold from their studio in County Clare on the Wild Atlantic Way. They also offer greeting cards, notebooks and tote bags, and recently collaborated with a local candle producer to create their first candle Trá, a scent inspired by the Irish beach and coastline. Aoife’s career to date includes experience both in academia and industry, unified by her keen interest in all things digital. She holds a PhD in Digital Media and Applied Linguistics and worked as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Limerick; she also has 5+ years’ experience working in marketing across a variety of industries. With a personal passion for small business and Irish design, Aoife brings her experience in brand and marketing to SIAR Photography, looking after their ecommerce platform, digital and social media marketing and identifying opportunities for their brand and products. Aoife is also a Consultant and Trainer in Brand and Marketing, specialising in digital marketing. Her goal is to empower business owners to advance and scale their business at all stages of development.
