Cynthia is a Risk Analyst at Citibank. Originally from China, she came to Ireland for an exchange program 5 years ago. She could barely speak English at that time. The program only lasted for 1 year, but she enjoyed the eye-opening experience living in another country exposing herself to different culture. She managed to improve her English speaking skills by making friends from different backgrounds. At the end of the study, she landed a job in a small investment company as a junior financial analyst, where she got involved in valuation and transaction process of various investment projects. After 1 and a half years, she moved to Bank of Ireland as a financial analyst, which allowed her to improve her analytical skills through practical experience and training under complex financial environment. She joined Citibank as a risk analyst (AVP). She would love to connect with and help another ambitious woman at the start of her career journey.
