Kerry is the Global Head of Background Screening for the Morson Group. Having left college and gained a place at both DCU and MMU, Kerry decided to take a gap year - still unsure if a degree was the right route for her. She accepted a temporary role for 6 weeks as a switchboard operator and the rest is history. Kerry loved the company, the environment, the people, the ability to control her own destiny but most importantly the ethos that hard work really does reward. After the 6 weeks, she moved around the business, absorbing as much information and detail as she could whilst trying to gain as much appropriate exposure for her skill set. The following year Kerry accepted a permanent role within the recruitment team, where she stayed for 5 years. Having seen a gap in the market and having faced struggles with candidates and their background screening profile, she believed they could streamline this and make it more effective, Provide a better candidate experience whilst still being compliant. With that in mind, she approached the board and asked if they would back her starting a background screening business utilising their brand. 5 years later, they cover 13 operating sectors and work with some of the biggest brands globally.
