Dorothy Scarry is the owner of Workplace Health and Wellbeing Ltd which works with both public and private organisations benchmarking, building wellbeing frameworks and delivering bespoke evidence-based content in her training delivery. She founded her company after completing a MSc in Workplace Health and Wellbeing in 2018. She became very interested in the possibilities that behaviour change interventions could make on preventing burnout, which is something Dorothy struggled with herself in 2016. Dorothy is the current secretary of the Galway Branch of Network Ireland, a role in which she was delighted to take after been asked onto the committee this year. Dorothy believes if you want to see change you need to take a seat at the table. Dorothy won the Power Within Category at branch level in 2020 and then she went on to be a finalist in the Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year National Awards later that year. Dorothy is passionate about building communities and her membership in Network Ireland the Mentor Her community has enabled to her become part of a female-led supportive tribes. Dorothy is also Club Secretary of Pádraig Pearses GAA Club and enjoys the role despite its many demands. Dorothy owns the social enterprise Next Step Forward which is an e-learning course for schools to support 6th class pupils as they move forward into post-primary school. Dorothy is a professional member of the Teaching Council, Association of Health Promotion Ireland, IoH, INTO and the Society of Occupational Medicine. She is Mental Health First Aider and has also completed further CPD in Business, Coaching, Mindfulness and Nutrition
